Sports Capital Funding
We received
approval for a grant of e11,000 in this years
Sports Capital Funding awards. We plan to go ahead and buy three Laser Vago dinghies as soon as possible, and have them available
for the summer season.
The
previous years grant of e15,000 towards a cruising is
still available. Purchasing a 30 foot yacht in addition to the Ruffian does not
look to be feasible from an operational perspective. It may be the option to
upgrade the Ruffian to a newer, larger boat. Please contact Peter McIntyre if you have
any feedback or if you wish to get involved.
Roles
& Responsibilities
Please
note the following organizational changes.

Roberts has taken over as treasurer.
Bronagh
is chair of the social committee who are busy planning a schedule of events for
the year. If you have any suggestions, or if you would
like to get involved please contact Bronagh
Chris
Reilly is our new safety officer.
Frostbite
Final Results
In all, a
record twenty seven club members took part, for twelve of whom it was
a first time dinghy racing. We entered six club boats (+ Martina's IDRA, and Niamh and Ralph's Laser-II).
Unfortunately
there were a lot of races lost to the weather. Another casualty was ITA which
was damaged in the November storms.
Magno 2660 finished in third place over
all in the PY class. It was sailed by Brenda, Emma, Robin, Nigel, Sheenagh & Sidney.

students, so you can expect expert tuition next time you sail.
