SID T-Shirts 2006

Last year there was a lot of interest in the t-shirts, so we've decided to organize another batch. You can see last years models in the t-shirt gallery on our website: http://sailingindublin.ie/tshirts.shtml.

We've decided to change the design and style slightly, for this batch and we're going to use an embroidered design this time.

The t-shirts will be the same style as last year and will be available in a women's fit and a men's fit (the t-shirt gallery shows the two styles). The sizes are small, medium, large and x-large. The colour scheme for this batch will be a Navy with a light blue logo. The hats will be a navy heavy cotton, adult fit and with a brass buckle at the back.

We have been able to get a good price for a combined order of t-shirt and hat, of only €20 for the two.

If you are interested in buying a t-shirt and hat, please email Eamonn with the size and the quantity you require.

These can only be purchased in batches so re-ordering will not be possible. Please let Eamonn know as soon as possible if you want to be included.

New Web Address

Time to update your favourites...We have set up a new web address with an IE domain http://sailingindublin.ie to replace the existing TK site. The TK address still exists and will redirect you to the IE site.

Thanks to Gary for all his work on this.

NYC Regatta

Congratulations to Nicola on winning the PY class on Magno 2661, and to Elma & Guido winners of the 420 class on Golden Wonder in a split tie from Nigel and Brenda on Ita. Also taking part were Martina, Annette, Ralph and Niamh in a record SID entry of five boats.

Unfortunately Nicola's champagne was given to a boat that finished second last in a triumph of disorganization by the NYC race committee. At least the strawberries were good.

RIYC Regatta

The RIYC regatta was scored on scratch for some strange reason. Sidney & Annette finished second on Magno 2661 with 2 second place finishes. (They would have won overall on PY). Brenda & Guido raced on ITA, but had to compete with the full fleet of the 420 Nationals which used the regatta as part of their championship. The Ruffian also had its first race outing with Damien, Eleanor, Peter and Robert on board.

RyStG Regatta

Congratulations to Sheenagh & Nigel finished 3'rd over all on ITA in a big PY fleet of 18 boats. Also competing were Robin and Nicola. The Ruffian was back for more action with Aidan, Bryan, Damien and Jessica.

This was the last "Dun Laoghaire" regatta for this season. In all 22 members took part in the regattas, well done to everybody involved.

Membership

We need more members especially if buying a second boat is to be a viable option.

Why not bring your friends for a taster session for just e20, No experience required for ruffian sailing.

There are some wetsuits in the container that can be borrowed for dinghy sailing (some previous experience required)
