Laser Vagos
Our three new Vagos arrived in mid June and are now sailing regularly.
For their first sea-trials we took a trip to Dalkey Island for a picnic, a sail around the island, and an invigorating sail home as the wind freshened.
It was a tired but happy crew who decamped to the kitchen for a farewell drink with Sidney.

RAYC Regatta
Three dinghies took part in the Royal Alfred regatta on June 16'th in the PY class.
There was some confusion with the organization on the water, which re-iterated how important it is to understand the flags and sound signals.
Congratulations to Martina who finished second in Sceon, and to Brenda & Nigel who finished third in Magno-2669. http://www.sailingindublin.ie/pictures/RAYC07winners.JPG

Dun Laoghaire Regatta
The regatta will be the largest sailing event in the country this year.
The Ruffian is fully booked up, but there may be other crewing opportunities if you are interested contact John.
Even if you are not racing, you should come down to the waterfront over the weekend and join the party for Strawberries & Cream, Jazz on the Pier etc.
It should be a great weekend.

Social and Personnel
Congratulations to Ralph and Niamh who were married in Belfast on June 16’th. Hopefully we'll soon see you both sailing the Laser-II again.
Sidney has returned home after spending a year and a half sailing in Ireland. There may soon be more wedding bells in Hong Kong. If you passing through and would like to try sailing a catamaran in Kowloon Bay, be sure to give him a shout.

Current member ship is fifty-eight which is a slight decrease on last year.
