DMYC Frostbites

Congratulations to Juilanne and Wyn taking the honours in the first race of the year in a Vago, with Robin runner up in the Topaz. It was Juilanne's first ever race!

We have a record level of interest in the frostbites with over 30 people taking part. We have entered all eight club boats. Also entered are Martina's Fireball and Ralph's Laser-II.

Contact Colm if you'd like to take part

Christmas Party

Join us for a seasonal feast of Lebanese cuisine, belly dancing & good cheer.

Sinner's Restaurant, Parliment Street - Thursday December 6.

Please let Sheenagh know as soon as possible if you can make it.

Remember plenty of hiking out will get you in shape for the dancing.

New Dinghy Gear

It's critical to look you best when sailing not to mention keeping the boat in trim, so with that in mind there are brand new trapeze harnesses and buoyancy aids in the container. Thanks to Leo, Martina & Wyn for organizing.

Sailing On Your Desktop

Speaking of looking good here's a useful video on steering your boat.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ccpu7luV-kQ Tacking efficiently is a huge benefit when racing. Watch the crew rolling the boat through the tacks.

Search for "Vago" or "420" on YouTube and you will loads of great clips e.g.

Job Opportunities

We are working to put together some promotional material for next year.

Any help would be appreciated. We need someone to design flyers and posters for printing, so if you'd like to try your hand at being a graphic artist please contact Angela.

We also have vacancies for web designers, content managers, programmers, SQL gurus or anyone with time on their hands. Let me know if you can help out.

Ruffian Lift-out

The Ruffian season is over for another year. The boat was lifted out last weekend for a power-wash and is now in the Coal Harbour boat-yard for the winter. Thanks to Peter, Bryan, Robin, Dave and all who helped.

Sailing In Africa

Has your new jacket been anywhere interesting? If yes, then please send me a picture.
